If you are looking for a blog to stir up unconventional conversations in your mind, then you are at the right place. Hello and welcome to TheNifeminist Blog where globally neglected gender and sexuality issues, literature and anything worth writing are discussed. TheNifeminist Blog was founded by Oluwanifemi Ologunorisa, a Writer and Gender Activist, who is not only interested in areas of inter-sectional feminism, but also areas of Alternative and Black Masculinities. Her passion towards gender activism was inspired by her role models: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Malala Yousafzai. Oluwanifemi believes in sisterhood, girl education and women empowerment. Currently, she is a Master’s student in the Applied Women’s Studies Program and the Founder of NGDP, a gender development program in Nigeria, which clamors for gender equity and empowerment. The recent program “One Girl, One Pad” addressed areas of period poverty, sex violence and educational enlightenment of girls to contribute towards STEM and Humanities. Oluwanifemi is also a fan of captivating artworks and paintings.
