Feminism has never been about getting a job for one woman. It’s about making life more fair for women everywhere. It’s not about a piece of the existing pie; there are too many of us for that. It’s about baking a new pie.
Miraculously, I found myself in SDGs Community Development Service, and I must confess that it has been great working with my Team. Few weeks ago we embarked on an Entrepreneurship program where we went to a school to teach them about baking.
I have always had a thing for mixing flour; I just love the idea of moulding something. During the program, I was glad to have listened and watched how to bake cake and other stuffs that ‘m quite shy to say I didn’t know how to do. Interestingly, we baked without an Oven. I never knew that could be done, so a week later, I tried baking a cake and it kinda turned out well.
Ingredients– Butter, Sugar, Flour, Liquid Milk, Baking powder, Eggs (5), Nutmeg, Vanilla Essence (Foster Clark).
Here are the pictures of my home made cake. I improvised some items like the baking pan, mine was bigger than the pot, so I used an aluminium bowl, also the mixing was done by hand, and the cake was baked without an Oven.
PS: I am going to try my hands on quite a lot of other pastries.😊
